Practice begins by being able to feel yourself

Manang will not have only one form of practice. At every level, however, the work returns to awareness, observation, and actual practice.

Begin with the body

"When there is no longer so much stress and tension within you, you feel very light. Like a balloon. Like cotton. Like a feather. Light and free. Based on that, we can focus more deeply on body

sensitivity."

Then look at emotion

"Choose kindness and observe how the energy flows. Choose hatred and observe how the energy flows, and see the side effects."

--- GarTul Chimi Dorjee Rinpoche · Manang · 28 July 2026

"The emotional part can work through replacement. Replace desire with kindness. Replace anger with compassion. Intelligence is the bridge. Intelligence can help you see the emotional part. It can see the stress and tension in the body."

Then recognize awareness

"When you really look at the thought, the characteristic of the thought dissolves. Then only awareness remains. Thoughts come and go. Awareness remains."

View · Practice · Fruition

"If we seriously talk about practice, we are talking about three things: View, Practice, Fruition. If your heart truly wants the highest quality of practice, View, Practice, and Fruition cannot go separately. They must be aligned. They must be combined. That is real

practice."

Ten days is a beginning

A personal short-term retreat is planned in periods of up to ten days. A further period can be considered according to space, availability, and the retreatant's circumstances. The essential distinction is not monastic or lay, but whether someone genuinely wishes to practice.

Seasonal practice

"I also wish I can offer seasonal practice guidelines. Seasonally, just like the four seasons, we can have four focuses: Pacifying, Increasing, Magnetizing, Subjugating. For the first practice, we can focus on Pacifying."

Vajrayogini and Tummo

"Personally, I approached His Holiness and asked about something essential to practice. I wanted to build a monastery, but not something random. I wanted something essential to the practice, especially to our own practice lineage. His Holiness said: "How about building a Vajrayogini temple?""
